Brown Mosaics is happy to announce our new art program where
we travel to you.
We teach all of the basics about surfaces, materials, tools,
adhesives, techniques, and grout for making mosaics. Events
are formed around the group’s wants and needs. You
pick the projects. See example workshops below. Mosaics
are for all ages and skill levels.
We come to your location with all the necessary materials
to conduct beginner classes or private parties. Large group
events can be arranged or small sessions can be achieved.
No matter what the age or number of participants, getting
involved with mosaics is entertaining, fun and educational
for everyone. We bring the enjoyment and art of mosaics
to your location. Perfect for private home parties, wedding
bridal showers, kids birthday parties, baby showers, work
groups, churches, schools, learning centers, nursing homes
and youth centers.
The cost is very reasonable and all supplies, tools and
materials are provided. Email us so we can discuss your

Workshop/Class
Examples:
MOSAIC
MIRROR
 Workshop
will cover all aspects of cutting, shaping, setting, grouting
and finishing a piece for presentation. Instructor will
demonstrate use of glass cutting tools and nippers as well
as covering info on substrates, adhesives, design and selection
of grout color. Designs will be available for student use,
or instructor will work with students to develop a design.
All materials provided. Students will design and create
a 12" x 12" mosaic mirror.
PIQUE
ASSIETTE MEMORY VESSEL MOSAIC
 Create
a personal and one-of-a-kind memory vessel after the tradition
of American Folk Art. Pique Assiette is the age-old technique
of creating mosaic and assemblage out of shards of broken
pottery, crockery and dishes. Literally translated from
French as "stolen plates", pique assiette is a
process of making mosaics that allows us to include found
objects from our environment as well as more traditional
mosaic media.
Students will discover how broken crockery and other curiosities
come together to create a long lasting work of art. They
will also learn about design, composition, and other details
relating to this type of mosaic.
Students are encouraged to bring plates, mugs, heirlooms,
dishes and other bric-a-brac to include in a personalized
piece of art. A great selection of materials will be provided.
GIFT
MAKING MOSAIC –TRIVETS
 Get
your gift making groove on and join us for some fun and
relaxing gift making. Great workshops that will help you
check a few gifts off your list as you learn mosaic setting
techniques. We will be creating fun and original trivets;
you will be able to make 3-6 trivets. In this class, you
will learn all of the basics (about surfaces, materials,
tools, adhesives, techniques, grout, etc.) for making mosaics.
This is a workshop for all skill levels.

TRASH TO TREASURE MOSAIC WORKSHOP
 Join
us for this fun free form workshop. This is one super large,
Awesome mixed bag of whatever you want it to be. You get
to make whatever you want. Maybe you're going to make something
for yourself. Maybe you want to make all kinds of stuff
for certain lucky people in your life. In this event, you
will learn all of the basics (about surfaces, materials,
tools, adhesives, techniques, grout, etc.) for making mosaics.
This is for all skill levels. All materials are supplied.
Create a Mosaic Platter, Birdbath, Vase, Lamp, Frame, Jewelry
Box, Flowerpot, Water Pitchers, Pavers, Trivets, Wall Art
and much more for you to pick from!
MOSAICS
FOR CHILDREN
 Kids
will create their own mosaic and bring home an “I
Did It” diploma in this fun workshop designed especially
for a child's creative expression. Children will work on
either a 10” x 10” mirror or a 6in. flowerpot.
All materials are non-toxic and children will handle pre-processed
tiles (no cutting required.) Class is suitable for ages
4 - 12 years. All materials will be included and we do the
messy grouting! Finished pieces will be ready to pick up
one week later. Bring a work shirt if want, we have the
aprons for class. Be ready for some creative mosaic fun!

Policy for Classes and Workshops

Refunds will be granted, less $35 cancellation fee, provided
you give Holli Brown Mosaics and Co. 14 days notice.

Cancellations can be made: over the phone or e-mail.

Holli Brown Mosaics and Co. are not responsible for providing
refunds for events missed as a result of illness, emergencies
or events beyond our control.

will be granted less than 14 days before the workshop/event
start date
